Meet upon arrival at siem reap airport and check-in to the hotel.

In the afternoon, visit the ancient capital of angkor thom, a huge architectural complex with the famous bayon temple at its center. this mountain-temple was once surrounded by 54 towers. On each of the 37 remaining 4 enigmatic faces can still be seen.

Day 2 SIEM REAP   (B)

After breakfast, explore the monastery of preah khan, meaning "sacred sword", the small island temple of neak pean, and then ta som. These three temples were built by king jayavarman vii and illustrate the preeminence of mahayana buddhism during his reign.

In the afternoon, visit angkor wat (early-mid 12th century) dedicated to the hindu god vishnu. This huge temple-mountain, built by king suryavarman ii is considered as the masterpiece of khmer architecture and art.

Day 3 siem reap - kbal spean - banteay srei    (B)

After breakfast, drive to kbal spean. walk through the forest (45 minutes) to kbal spean, the "river of a thousand lingas". Here the symbol of the hindu god siva has been continually chiseled into the rocky riverbed. It was believed that the linga fertilized the water that irrigated the rice fields underneath.

In the afternoon, drive through the countryside towards the famous temple of bantey srey "the citadel of women". This small pink sandstone temple (late 10th century) is considered to be the jewel in the crown of classical khmer art because of its delicate carvings. Return to siem reap and stop on the way to visit the marvelously restored bantey samre temple (mid 12th century).

Day 4 SIEM REAP   (B)

After breakfast, drive to the twin temples of thommanon and chau say tevoda (early 12th century), the unfinished temple-mountain of ta keo, the srah srang holy pond, bantey kdei and then the scenic ta prohm monastery, surrounded by the jungle.

Time at leisure until departure to the airport.
