Day 1 HANOI

On arrival, welcome by your guide at the airport and proceed to the hotel. (for arrival in the morning, hotel room will be available only from 13h00).

In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation tour of the city including the temple of literature, and ngoc son temple. Take a cyclo (rickshaw) tour through the old quarter. Enjoy the water puppet show early in the evening.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 HANOI / HOA LU  / HANOI / LAO CAI   (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel through the countryside to hoa lu, the ancient 10th century capital of vietnam. On arrival, enjoy a bicycle ride to bich dong pagoda and continue to thung nang pier. Board a small sampan for a spectacular 2-hour trip through one cave and numerous waterways, passing through beautiful rural sceneries of limestone cliffs and rice paddies.

In the afternoon, visit dinh tien hoang and le dai hanh dynastic temples before traveling by road back to hanoi. Transfer to the railway station to catch the night train to lao cai (departure: 21h15 on the local train)

Overnight on board.

Day 3 LAO CAI / SAPA    (B/L)

Arrival at lao cai railway station early in the morning. Drive to sapa (approximately 1 hour). breakfast will be taken on arrival at the hotel. Time at leisure in the morning to relax.

In the afternoon, visit sapa market, thac bac waterfalls (best view during the months of april to november) and stop at traurion pass to enjoy the beautiful view.

Day 4 SAPA   (B/L) < light trekking>

Breakfast at the hotel and early departure for a full day discovering the minority villages located in the sapa valley. Drive to lao chai and then walk 2 km through rice fields, passing by traditional black h'mong houses before continuing to ta van village (2 more km) to visit a giay minority village. The hike then reaches the bamboo forest of giang ta chai. this part of the trip is fascinating because of its beautiful sceneries and colourful ethnic minorities such as the red dao. Your driver will be waiting for you at giang ta chai.

During the afternoon, visit ham rong mountain and cat cat village before returning to sapa in late afternoon.

 Day 5 SAPA / LAO CAI / HANOI   (B/L) < minority market>

After breakfast, depart to one of the several minority markets in the region. depending on the day, markets can be held in different villages. Here you will meet various ethnic minorities who come to exchange not only the goods but also the gossips from their own community. Return to lao cai for The overnight train back to hanoi (departure at 20h15)

Market days:

Tuesday: Coc Ly (55 km from Lao Cai or 95 km from Sapa)

- Wednesday: chin xen (120 km from lao cai or 160 km from sapa) or cao son (80 km from lao cai or 120 km from sapa). 

- Thursday: Lung Khau Nhi (63 km from Lao Cai or 103 km from Sapa). 

- Saturdays: Can Cau Market (100 km from Lao Cai or 140 km from Sapa) This market is the weekly meeting point for Flower H/Mong, Fula, Black H’Mong and is one the most authentic markets in the region. After the market, visit some nearby villages before returning leisurely to Lao Cai..

- Sundays: Bac Ha Market (80 km from Lao Cai or 120 km from Sapa) : the busiest market of the region where you will meet the H’Mongs, Fula, Dao and other ethnic minorities who come and exchange not only the goods but the gossip of their own community.

Day 6 LAO CAI / HANOI / HALONG   (B/L/D)

After breakfast, travel by road to halong bay. On the way, stop to visit phu lang ceramic village in bac ninh where you can enjoy a walk down the road and visit varieties of ceramic workshops.

Arrive around 12h00 and board the junk for a memorable cruise to discover one of the natural marvels of vietnam. Lunch is served on board.

During the navigation, the boat passes by numerous islets and stops at a natural cave. Finally, enjoy a swim in the jade waters of the gulf of tonkin (if the weather permits).

Dinner and overnight on the junk.

 After breakfast, the cruise resumes and the boat navigates between the karsts, some of which display fantastic shapes. The cruise ends at around noon, then drive back to hanoi airport for your departure flight to hue.

Day 8  HUE    (B/L)

After breakfast, visit the imperial citadel and tu duc mausoleum which was built according to the mysterious rules of geomancy.

In the afternoon, visit the emperor minh mang's mausoleum and continue your journey to the seven-storey thien mu pagoda located on the riverbank. on the way back, stop at villages to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made. end the day with a boat trip on the gentle perfume river.

Day 9 HUE / DANANG / HOI AN   (B/L)

After breakfast, depart to danang via the hai van pass. On arrival, visit the cham museum which presents the greatest collection about champa civilization and continue your trip to hoi an.

The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in hoi an.

Day 10 HOI AN   (B/L)

After breakfast, pick up at your hotel and visit the famous old quarter of hoi an. The important trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries is now listed as a unesco world heritage site. Take a walk around hoi an ancient town and explore its treasures, including the japanese temple and fuk kien pagoda. Finally, pay a visit to a lantern making cottage and learn how to make one on your own.

In the afternoon, excursion by boat on the thu bon river with a stop along the way at a traditional Ceramic and carpentry village

The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11 HOI AN / DANANG / HO CHI MINH CITY   (B/L)

After breakfast, transfer to danang airport for your morning flight to ho chi minh city (saigon). On arrival, transfer to your selected hotel. in the same morning, discover the bustling saigon. enjoy a tour in the colonial residential quarter with the hotel de ville, the opera house, the 19th century notre-dame cathedral, the beautiful central post office and the more modern reunification palace (outside).

In the afternoon, visit the war remnants museum and continue to cho lon, tien hau pagoda and the bustling binh tay market. Finally, end the day with a visit a lacquer ware factory.

Overnight in ho chi minh city.

Day 12 HO CHI MINH CITY / CAI BE / VINH LONG / CAN THO   (B/L)

After breakfast, drive to cai be in the heart of the mekong delta. On arrival, board a sampan for a cruise on the mekong river and its myriad of canals to vinh long. Visit an old colonial house, a rice popcorn factory and taste local specialties for lunch. In the afternoon continue the journey to vinh long and then drive to can tho, the largest town in the mekong delta.

Overnight in can tho. 

Day 13 CAN THO / CAI RANG / CHAU DOC   (B/L)

After breakfast, board a sampan to visit the vibrant cai rang floating market and witness the rural life and the beautiful vegetation along the riverbanks. Discover can tho's market and then drive to chau doc, near the cambodian border. On arrival, visit sam mountain, a popular pilgrimage site where you will find a large collection of chinese, cham and khmer temples before checking into your hotel.

Day 14 CHAU DOC / HO CHI MINH CITY   (B/L)

After breakfast naviagte through a fascinating floating village where fishes are bred in their natural environment. Learn more about cham culture as you visit one of their villages and its mosque. Return to ho chi minh city by road via cao lanh. Arrive in ho chi minh city in the evening.

Day 15 HO CHI MINH CITY   (B)

after breakfast, time at leisure until your departure to tan son nhat airport.
